I was driving frantically on the country roads, searching for a composition that would compliment the beautiful light that was happening. Finally, I found a scene that required me to stand in a ditch knee-deep in snow. While I was shooting, a car pulled up next to me to kindly inform me of the spectacular full moon rising behind me (they were out taking photos too). Although I appreciated the gesture, I was content with the scene I had found and had planned to remain there for a bit longer to see what the light would do. We said goodbye and the fellow photographer drove past me to turn around but got a bit too close to the ditch before getting stuck about 75 feet down the road from me, adding an SUV to my composition. It was a little disappointing for both of us (for different reasons), but mostly funny looking back. Being a landscape photographer, you never know what will happen.
